The rotator cuff is a group of four muscles and tendons that help stabilize the shoulder and aid in movement. The most common injuries are strains, tendinitis and bursitis.


Symptoms may include:

  • loss of full range of shoulder motion

  • inability to sleep on affected shoulder

  • difficulty reaching behind the back

  • weakness of the shoulder


Rotator Cuff injuries can be caused by:

  • lifting heavy objects

  • falling

  • shoulder forced into awkward position

  • long-term overuse

  • injury or accident
